| WATCH: Congressman Jack Kingston to be on MSNBC Today at 3:40 p.m.
Congressman Jack Kingston will be on MSNBC’s Martin Bashir TODAY at 3:40 p.m. to discuss his proposal to reform the unemployment insurance program and the larger debate on the payroll tax cut extension package. Introduced last year, the EQUIP Act would require anyone applying for unemployment insurance benefits to complete a drug screening assessment form for benefits. Those identified as having a high probability of drug use would then be required to pass a drug test as a condition of benefits and would be subject to random testing. Drug screening discourages the misuse of benefits and ensures beneficiaries are eligible to reenter the workforce.
