Tom DeLay Will Not Seek Re-election

Last night, TIME reported that U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Texas), known by some as the “Hammer,” will not seek re-election and will leave Congress within the next few months. You can watch Tom making this announcement here.
The hatred and relentless criticism of Tom DeLay breaks all records. He makes Newt Gingrich, Dan Quayle, and Bill Clinton look like their tenure in Washington was a honeymoon.
Tom’s decision proves once again that his love for the Republican Party is above all else. He will be missed around the halls of Congress and in bible study.
