On June 20, House Republicans announced that House Committee's would be holding numerous field hearings throughout the country on the Reid-Kennedy Senate Immigration Bill. And on June 22, House Majority Leader Boehner released a document which noted that "Republicans want to enact a strong bill that secures our borders and puts a premium on strict enforcement of our immigration laws," and unveiled five guiding principles that would be used to do just that.
